Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a Systems/Data Analyst to support a high-impact digital initiative in the financial services space. The successful candidate will join a collaborative delivery team working on a client/advisor-facing planning portal. You’ll be responsible for translating business needs into technical deliverables, supporting integration and testing efforts, and working closely with both internal teams and external vendors. This role is ideal for someone with strong systems analysis experience, a technical mindset, and a background in financial services or wealth management.
Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid work - with 2-3 days a week on-site)
Base salary: $75,000 - 85,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to create detailed interface specifications and system documentation
- Translate business requirements into technical user stories, data mappings, and test scenarios using tools like Jira and Confluence
- Support system and integration testing efforts, including defect triaging and quality assurance coordination
- Analyze and troubleshoot production issues, and provide detailed information to internal or external support teams
- Participate in daily Agile ceremonies and contribute to project tracking via Kanban boards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or Data Analyst working in technical and cross-functional teams
- Strong knowledge of solution architecture, system integration, and application development lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with SQL, data mapping, and interpreting structured data files such as JSON
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Agile/Kanban methodologies
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Domain expertise in Wealth Management, Capital Markets, or broader Financial Services
- Experience with Salesforce configuration and customizations (e.g., objects, workflows, validation rules)
- Exposure to Conquest Planning platform or similar financial planning tools would be highly preferred
- Technical skills in Python, MongoDB, or Tableau
- Certifications such as PMP, IIBA (CBAP/CCBA), CSC, CFA Level I, Scrum/Kanban
