Accounts Payable Associate – Urgent Contract Opportunity
Location: Toronto, ON (On-Site)
Contract: Full-time, Immediate Start | 4 Weeks to Start | Possibility of Extension

If so, this is a great opportunity to step into a key role supporting the finance function of a well-known Canadian brand.

Our client, a recognized leader in the retail and consumer space, is urgently seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join their finance team on a contract basis. This role will help cover a critical gap and offers the potential for extension.

What You’ll Do:

• Process 300+ vendor invoices per month, ensuring accuracy, correct coding, and appropriate approvals

• Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships

• Reconcile vendor statements and assist with payment runs

• Support month-end activities, including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations

• Maintain organized records to support audits and compliance

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–2 years of accounts payable experience

• Background in Retail, Food & Beverage, or CPG is strongly preferred

• Comfortable working in manual processing environments with high volume

• Proficient with accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, and other business tools

• Strong communication and time management skills

• Highly organized with sharp attention to detail
