Accounts Payable Associate – Urgent Contract Opportunity
Location: Toronto, ON (On-Site)
Contract: Full-time, Immediate Start | 4 Weeks to Start | Possibility of Extension

Our client, a recognized leader in the retail and consumer space, is urgently seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join their finance team on a contract basis. This role will help cover a critical gap and offers the potential for extension.
What You’ll Do:
Process 300+ vendor invoices per month, ensuring accuracy, correct coding, and appropriate approvals
Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships
Reconcile vendor statements and assist with payment runs
Support month-end activities, including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations
Maintain organized records to support audits and compliance
What We’re Looking For:
1–2 years of accounts payable experience
Background in Retail, Food & Beverage, or CPG is strongly preferred
Comfortable working in manual processing environments with high volume
Proficient with accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, and other business tools
Strong communication and time management skills
Highly organized with sharp attention to detail
