Senior Underwriter – Specialty Insurance (E&O / Professional Liability)
Location: Toronto, ON | Hybrid (3 days in office)
Duration: 1-Year Contract

We’re partnering with a top-tier insurance organization on a confidential search for a Senior Underwriter specializing in Errors & Omissions (E&O) and Professional Liability insurance. This role offers the opportunity to manage a profitable book of business, strengthen broker relationships, and support strategic underwriting initiatives within a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and underwrite a portfolio of E&O and professional liability accounts in alignment with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite

• Evaluate risk exposures, pricing, coverage terms, and account profitability

• Develop new business opportunities while maintaining a strong focus on profitability

• Build and strengthen relationships with brokers and distribution partners

• Collaborate with internal teams to support product development and process enhancements

• Contribute to the implementation of underwriting strategies and market-facing initiatives

• Share expertise and provide guidance on underwriting practices and standards

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting, preferably within specialty lines such as E&O or professional liability

• Strong understanding of risk management, coverage structures, and market trends

• Proven ability to manage a book of business and build broker relationships

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
