  • Design APIs, microservices, and reusable components that support scalable, platform-based service delivery.
  • Champion human-centered design to ensure digital solutions are accessible, inclusive, and aligned with user needs.
  • Modernize legacy systems by guiding their transformation into intuitive, data-driven digital experiences.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate service outcomes into effective, user-focused technical solutions.
  • Provide architectural oversight and mentorship to delivery teams, promoting best practices in security, testing, and continuous delivery.
  • Mentor developers and junior architects to build long-term internal capacity across teams and ministries.
  • Align technical solutions with GoA’s strategic vision, enterprise architecture, and roadmap for digitally enabled services.
  • Contribute to the development of digital standards, coding guidelines, and architectural principles.
  • Support business cases and investment planning with strategic insight on solution design, cost, and risk.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, especially in AI, data engineering, and open-source ecosystems, and advise on their application within the public sector.

Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams and ensure delivery aligns with GoA’s priorities and governance frameworks. What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Strong experience designing and delivering modern, cloud-native software using agile and DevSecOps practices.
  • A deep understanding of architecture principles, with the ability to create secure, scalable, and reusable solutions.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and enthusiasm for applying them to improve services and automate decision-making.
  • A user-focused mindset, with a commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and human-centered design.
