We are seeking a skilled Bilingual Multimedia Producer for a 3-month contract to support a range of projects focused on video, audio, and multimedia production for educational and exhibition purposes. This contract opportunity involves coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality multimedia products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end production management, including planning, directing, editing, and archiving multimedia assets. Projects will range from the creation of instructional videos and exhibition multimedia components to the development of bilingual web clips and conference support materials.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordination and delivery of video productions and audio stations.
  • Creation of instructional videos and video/audio support materials for web platforms and conferences.
  • Production support for exhibition video profiles and interviews.
  • Coordination and production of multi-camera interviews.
  • Backups, clean-up, and archival of existing multimedia projects.
  • Acquisition of generic footage for media and public affairs use.
  • Gather requirements and participate in virtual and on-site project meetings.
  • Draft and review work orders, production budgets, and schedules.
  • Collaborate on or review scripts with internal stakeholders.
  • Direct crews, on-camera talent, and post-production team members.
  • Coordinate translation and subtitling in both French and English where needed.
  • Manage and oversee freelance and contract team members such as camera operators, editors, and audio engineers.
  • Act as a camera operator and video editor for selected projects.
  • Support internal multimedia production teams as needed.
  • Liaise with exhibition, learning, and communications teams to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Develop and coordinate archival processes for multimedia assets.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in:

    • Planning, directing, and producing multimedia content within a cultural or time-sensitive environment.

    • Working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.

    • Using Adobe Creative Cloud applications proficiently (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition).

    • Managing detailed production schedules and budgets.

    • Supervising external production personnel (e.g., writers, directors, technical crews).

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to provide a demo reel showcasing relevant experience.

Language Requirements

  • English: CBC level (advanced reading, intermediate writing, advanced oral interaction).

  • French: BBB level (intermediate reading, writing, and oral interaction).
