Altis Technology is currently looking for experienced process driven and results-focused Ottawa OR Toronto-based IT Recruiters to play a key role in growing our IT, Broader Public Sector & Government Services staffing division. This role is perfect for someone passionate about IT recruiting, naturally curious, and someone who loves process and collaboration. We are seeking someone who enjoys building, developing and nurturing new and existing partnerships and candidate/client relationships. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of IT recruitment experience.

Responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
- Source, screen, and present qualified candidates using internal and external sources.
- Conduct high-volume phone screens and virtual interviews to evaluate candidate fit.
- Utilize external recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Monster, and others.
- Post job ads, review applications, and actively search for talent within our in-house database and other sources.
- Update and maintain candidate databases in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Coordinate with Account Managers and other Recruitment Partners to align talent sourcing with client demand.
- Leverage recruitment metrics and analytics to evaluate sourcing strategies, improve efficiencies, and guide strategic decision-making.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Altis Recruitment by attending onsite and virtual events, such as career fairs and open houses, to connect with prospective job seekers.
- Craft and send recruitment emails to connect with candidates.
- Perform reference checks and verify credentials as required.
- Assist in developing candidate marketing and recruitment campaigns.
Qualifications and Skills
- 2+ years of recent IT recruitment experience required from either an agency or corporate setting
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to manage emotions to foster productive relationships.
- Ability to take responsibility for decisions and outcomes, holding self and others accountable.
- Comfortable with change and able to adjust approaches as needed in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to foster teamwork and work across departments to achieve shared goals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Systems thinking and an analytical approach to identifying root causes and finding effective solutions.
- Willingness to learn, develop, and embrace new challenges.
- Ability to think outside the box to create effective recruitment strategies.
- Excellent time management and the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
- Understanding of employment laws and regulations relevant to recruitment.
Education and Certifications
Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
