Agilus is recruiting for a Commercial Manager in the Construction Industry in Mississauga, Ontario.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Senior Commercial Manager will be responsible for the successful administration of contracts with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers. This position is GTA based but will require travel to client sites.
Responsibilities:
Forensic reviews of baseline and progress construction schedules & provide input to the project team
Develop risk register & key contractual obligations from Contract review and Review Prime Contract to determine obligations, liabilities and highlight risks
Manage contract administration processes and results
Develop contract management activities to ensure compliance with the Prime Contract and Manage contract reporting activities and identify and track deliverables
Develop and implement Change Management procedures and track contract and subcontract changes/modifications
Analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers; Negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders
Manage subcontracts and purchase orders including resolving contractual issues, administration, reviewing change entitlement, and other duties required to support the successful administration of subcontracts and purchase orders
Develop and implement District and Company-wide best processes and policies
Successful candidates will have:
Post-secondary education, such as a degree or diploma in a related field, and/or relevant combination of experience with 10+ years’ leadership experience in the construction industry
A strong background in contract management
Excellent financial and numeracy management skills
Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
Strong project management, organizational and investigative skills
