Note: This is a 2 year Temporary Full-time contract position with the ability to extend if required.
Note: This is a hybrid position with occasional in-person work in London, Ontario.
Fanshawe College is undergoing an exciting multi-phase ERP transformation through Fanshawe One powered by Workday, a strategic initiative aimed at modernizing our core administrative systems for employees and students. The project was designed with 3 phases: Phase 1 Core HCM and Finance, Phase 2 Advanced Planning and Phase 3 Student. With Phase 1 completed, we have created a Workday Sustainment team to support the HCM and Finance modules. As each phase completes, the Workday Sustainment team will need to support all live modules.
The Senior Manager, Workday Sustainment will drive the ongoing maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of our Workday platform for recently launched Core Human Capital Management (HCM) and Finance. This role focuses on deep Workday functional expertise in modules such as Recruiting, Payroll, Time and Absence, Compensation, Benefits, Security, Business Process Framework (BPF), Reporting & Analytics, and Financial Management. The Senior Manager will lead and train a Workday team of Leads and Analysts and act as a key liaison between Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and other business stakeholders to ensure Workday continues to meet evolving business needs. The position will also oversee Workday governance, business process management, and collaboration with a third-party Managed Services team for complex technical support. Future phases will introduce Advanced Planning and Workday Student that the Workday Sustainment team will support after go-live.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary 4-year degree or equivalent
Minimum 7 years of leadership experience, with 5 years experience providing functional and technical support in a Workday environment with Core HCM and Financial modules
Workday Student training or experience would be an asset
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Advanced knowledge of Workday modules, configuration, functionality, optimization, module integration, security and system architecture
Proven experience leading Workday stabilization, sustainment and release management initiatives
Expertise in evaluating, documenting and improving Workday-driven business processes to enhance efficiency and user experience
Strong understanding of business process design and ability to align system functionality with evolving organizational needs
Knowledge of governance best practices and ability to establish structured processes for system maintenance and change management
Proven ability to lead teams providing mentorship, technical guidance and performance management
Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and enhance cross-functional partnerships to support system adoption and strategic goals
Advanced relationship management and consultation skills
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and drive process improvements to align Workday with business goals and drive long-term system sustainability and scalability
