About Our Opportunity

 

ArcGIS Pro Parcel Fabric Tasks:

  • Assist in maintaining and updating parcel fabric data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Support the development of new mapping and geomatics standards related to parcel fabric.
  • Collaborate with Geographic Information Services and government partners on parcel fabric projects, gaining hands-on experience in real-world applications.
  • Create and update documentation for parcel fabric processes and standards, ensuring clear and accessible records for future reference.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for parcel fabric, providing visual insights and metrics to support decision-making and tracking.

 

General Geomatics Responsibilities: 

  • Work with government departments and agencies to support various geomatics projects, offering fresh perspectives and innovative solutions.
  • Support geomatics events such as Spring into Geomatics and Fall for Geomatics, which attract up to 200 participants per event, providing organizational and logistical assistance

Qualifications and Experience

 

To be considered for this Summer Student opportunity, you are currently a full-time University or Community College student entering or returning to study in September 2025. In addition, you demonstrate:

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of geographic and spatial concepts
  • Hands-on experience using GIS software
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Team player skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills.

 

Proof of educational enrollment may be required.

This position is based in our office in Halifax. Some remote work may be possible.

 

     

Pay Grade:  HOURLY 

Salary Range:  $18.22 - $29.69 Hourly
