Eligibility:

This posting is open to Permanent Teachers and Probationary Teachers currently employed by Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board. This is a one (1) year appointment, with the possibility of extension for another (3) three years, subject to continued funding. The teacher will have the right of first refusal the following school year should the appointment be extended.

Salary Range:

Paid based on the salary grid of the Collective Agreement with OECTA according to QECO rating and years of experience.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)
  • Primary/Junior/Intermediate/Senior Qualifications
  • Religious Education, Part 1
  • 5 years of classroom teaching experience, preferred
  • Technology embedded learning (e-learning) experience preferred

Notes:

Reporting to the Superintendent of School Effectiveness and Senior Manager of Learning Technology Services, the successful candidate will provide consultation and support to school and Board level staff in collecting and analyzing data related to Ministry accountability requirements for student achievement, mental health and teacher assessment practice. The candidate will co-lead a plan to foster and build a culture of data informed decision making. The successful candidate must be an effective communicator who has demonstrated the ability to collaborate as a team as it relates to the School Improvement Plan for Student Achievement and Well-Being (SIPSAW). The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership with integrating the Universal Design for Learning Framework when planning for students in order to remove barriers and accelerate learning.

Position Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will build staff knowledge and capacity regarding the effective use of data to inform practices.
  • Support the Senior Team with target setting and improvement planning processes.
  • Support staff with the professional learning required to understand, use and present data.
  • Provide leadership for assigned projects including developing proposals, organization, communication, data collection and report writing.
  • Act as a resource to senior staff on research, data and statistical analysis methodologies.
  • Possess skills in creating data reports, infographic and other data visualizations.
  • Expertise with statistical software, database applications, word processing, spreadsheets (MS Word, MS Excel, Compass for Success).

The successful candidate will be expected to provide their own vehicle to travel to school sites. The successful candidate will work out of the Board Office, Napanee. Travel expenses will be paid according to Article 25 of the current Collective Agreement. Please contact Human Resources for further information.
