Our client working in welfare services is seeking a Research Analyst to join them on a contract basis. This project focuses on assessing the needs of families of medically released veterans to better inform program development and service delivery.

This contract is looking to get started as soon as possible and will go until June 30th. The successful candidate must already hold their Reliability Clearance.

The successful candidate will lead the research process to identify and understand the challenges and support needs of families of medically released veterans. Your work will guide the development of new services and enhance existing support systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a comprehensive literature review on family support.

  • Develop and facilitate focus groups and surveys targeting families, stakeholders, and service providers.

  • Conduct stakeholder outreach, including interviews with families and organizations offering support services.

  • Synthesize findings into a formal output (e.g., presentation or written summary—not necessarily a full-length report).

  • Provide strategic insights to help shape programs and services aimed at families, not just veterans.

Ideal Candidate

  • 3-4 years experience conducting needs assessments, qualitative research, or community engagement.

  • Strong skills in data collection, facilitation, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative inputs.

  • Comfortable working independently and managing a project from start to finish.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills for summarizing findings and presenting to a small team.

  • Experience working with military, veterans, or community service organizations is a plus—but not required.

  • Backgrounds in policy, social work, public health, or community research welcome.

Details

  • Remote role; must be self-motivated and proactive.

  • Contract ends June 30, 2025—with possibility for future collaboration depending on project outcomes.
