Our client working in Welfare Services is hiring for a Service Analyst to join their team on a contract basis starting asap going until June 30th.
This position requires a Service Analyst to conduct a comprehensive service gap analysis focused on identifying and evaluating services available to medically released veterans and their family members across Canada. This is a short-term, high-impact contract ideal for someone with experience in research, data analysis, and knowledge translation.
The successful candidate will be fluently bilingual in English and French and must hold their reliability clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a gap analysis to compare existing services for veterans and their families against ideal support frameworks.
Map and assess over 500 groups and organizations at the national, provincial, and local levels—nonprofit, governmental, and community-based.
Identify, evaluate, and categorize services provided to:
Narrow the analysis focus to medically released veterans and their families after initial broad review.
Collect and analyze data, identify trends, and determine where service gaps exist.
Produce a formal, comprehensive report outlining findings and recommendations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure findings are clearly presented and actionable.
Engage with external partners and reference past studies and data to avoid duplication and enhance outcomes.
Provide knowledge translation, where applicable, to make findings accessible to varied audiences.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Social Sciences, Public Policy, Health Studies, etc.).
Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in service gap analysis, program evaluation, or a related research/analyst role.
Strong data collection, analytical, and synthesis skills.
Experience producing formal research reports and summarizing findings for decision-makers.
Fluent in both English and French.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, if preferred.
