Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to lead testing and quality assurance efforts for critical healthcare applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across a spectrum of testing types—functional, performance, connectivity, regression, integration, and automation—and a strong background in data security and client privacy.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts covering functional, performance, connectivity, regression, integration, and automation testing.
- Lead performance testing for web applications and web services using open‑source tools (e.g., JMeter).
- Design and oversee security testing relating to data confidentiality and client privacy in database and application contexts.
- Execute and support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process, partnering with business owners on test execution, defect reporting, and resolution tracking.
- Utilize SQL to validate data integrity, support database upgrades, and perform comparisons (e.g., using SQL Data Examiner).
- Employ and administer QA frameworks and tools—including HP Quality Center, HP WebInspect, SOAPUI, and similar products—for both manual and automated testing.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, “Waterscrum”).
- Mentor junior QA team members on best practices, methodology, and tool usage.
- Document and communicate testing results, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Computer Science, Health Sciences, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 8 years’ hands‑on experience in functional, performance, connectivity, regression, integration, and automation testing.
- 8 years’ demonstrated mastery of quality assurance and system testing best practices and methodologies.
- 8 years’ experience in security testing related to data confidentiality and client privacy for databases and applications.
- 8 years’ proficiency with open‑source performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- 8 years of demonstrated experience in HP Quality Center and HP WebInspect or similar product.
- 6 years of demonstrated experience with Automation Testing tools – Eg. SOAPUI
- 6 years of Demonstrated experience in database upgrades, and the use of database comparison tools – Eg. SQL Data Examiner
- 4 years of experience Demonstrated experience working with Provincial Health Care and Electronic Health Records applications in a Canadian context.
