Job Description:
Our client in the engineering sector is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer. This is an exciting onsite opportunity based in Toronto, ON, ideal for professionals with a strong background in mainframe technologies and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications to support business operations in the banking sector.

• Work with key mainframe components including SCA, MCA, JCL, and NDM.

• Perform functional testing and ensure system integrity through various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow to track development progress, manage requirements, and resolve issues.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

• Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies as needed.

Technical Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 7+ years of Mainframe Development experience, preferably within the banking or financial services domain.

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows, UNIX, and LINUX operating systems.

• Proficient in working with RDBMS and Oracle 19C databases.

• Expertise in functional testing and familiarity with automation testing is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong oral and written communication abilities.
