Job Description:
The part-time Technologist positions - Pharmacy Technician/Assistant Programs will support the faculty and students in program labs with the following, but not limited to reinforcing students learning, health and safety in the labs, pharmacy procedures and set up and tear down.
Note: These are part-time positions (up to 24 hours per week) starting May 5, 2025 and ending August 15, 2025.
Note: These positions are located at Fanshawe's main campus at 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd., London, Ontario.
Duties: The incumbents provide assistance and supervision to students, supports faculty teams in the Pharmacy Technician and Community Pharmacy programs, and plays an integral role in the operations of the Pharmacy programs at Fanshawe College. The incumbents' responsibilities include managing tasks related to the programs' laboratory environment and addressing educational needs to ensure the success of students and clinics.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent and relevant work experience in a Hospital/Long-Term Care pharmacy practice setting
Additional experience in Community pharmacy practice settings is preferred
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Registered pharmacy technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
Membership with professional association(s) CAPT, OPA, and/or CSHP is preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Educational Credentials
