AEM Platform Manager (Contract)
Pay Rate: $60 - $75/hour
Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid – 3 days/week in office)
We are looking for an experienced AEM Platform Manager to support our financial client’s digital platform team. You will be responsible for managing the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform, ensuring it runs smoothly, securely, and is used effectively across the organization.
This role focuses on managing digital assets, optimizing platform performance, supporting users, and improving development and release processes through automation and integration. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Asset Management
- Organize and maintain digital assets in AEM across all business units.
- Ensure proper metadata, naming standards, and folder structures are followed.
- Build and maintain asset workflows to improve tagging, permissions, and searchability.
- Conduct regular audits and help teams keep content up to date and compliant.
- Develop and maintain metadata governance and taxonomy standards.
System Management & Optimization
- Monitor the technical health of the AEM platform using system reports and tools.
- Ensure AEM is always up to date with the latest features and security patches.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and coordinate with Adobe support as needed.
- Manage SSL certificates, domain settings, and environment configurations.
- Optimize performance and security, including Web Application Firewall (WAF) settings.
Platform Integration & Automation
- Set up and manage integrations with other Adobe tools and internal systems.
- Work with DevOps to automate code deployment and release processes.
- Support the implementation of new platform features and enhancements.
User Support & Training
- Manage AEM user accounts and access permissions.
- Provide training, documentation, and support for end-users and teams.
- Create user guides and best practices for asset management and platform use.
- Act as the main contact for AEM-related questions and support issues.
Security & Compliance
- Maintain security and access control for all digital content.
- Identify and address compliance issues through audits and reporting.
- Work with teams to ensure digital assets follow organizational standards.
Requirements
- Financial services industry experience required
- Strong hands-on experience with AEM (Assets, Sites, Cloud Manager)
- Knowledge of metadata standards and digital asset workflows
- Ability to manage large volumes of assets and ensure proper organization
- Experience with AEM integrations and Adobe tool connectors
- Proficient in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Sling, HTL, and JCR
- Familiarity with version control tools and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with automation and pipeline tools
- Strong communication and training skills
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- University degree required; Master’s degree in tech or business is a plus
