Job Opportunity: Data Security Consultant (Contract)

Location: Remote (Canada)
Duration: Contract award – June 2025
Level of Effort: 30 days
Security Clearance: Reliability (must be valid at contract award)

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a business and technical case for the PET Lab, including use cases across government, academia, and industry.

• Specify hardware, software, and IoT requirements for a secure and scalable lab environment.

• Conduct cost, feasibility, and risk assessments.

• Collaborate with domain experts and potential lab stakeholders.

• Deliver reports including a justification study, technical specification, and risk mitigation strategy.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data communication and storage (physical, virtual, on-prem, cloud, hybrid).

• Expertise in data management, security, lifecycle management.

• Strong background in agile development and project management.

• Experience with cryptographic technologies, PETs, and privacy frameworks.

• Prior work with government or research organizations is highly preferred.

• Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance mandatory.
