Position Title: Team Lead, IT Projects

Position Type: Permanent full-time
Work model: hybrid, 1-2 days per week onsite, in Antigonish
Work hours: 40 hours per week
Position Description
The Team Lead, IT Projects is responsible for oversight and day-to-day management of the clinet's enterprise-wide information technology projects. These projects include the implementation of a new admissions system and, in future years, the refresh of the University’s existing enterprise systems. The Team Lead, IT Projects is a key contributor to the implementation of the University’s Digital Strategy. This position will report directly to the Manager and Project Management
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of project management for assigned University IT projects.
- Work with managers and IT staff to support business analysis process for IT projects, including project charters, plans, schedules and status reports.
- Prepare and facilitate communication plans, project change requests, user guides, etc.
- Provides updates to team members and project stakeholders.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
- Support the Manager in providing leadership to employees in a manner consistent with university policies, practices and applicable Collective Agreements.
- Coach and mentor staff as appropriate to improve performance and service delivery.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in related field (Computer Science, Business, Information Systems), or a related field.
- 5-7 years progressive, proven experience in project management.
- Strong work ethic and proven success working in a team environment.
- Self-starter, able to work independently as required.
- Experience in a university environment is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
