Our client in the Nonprofit space is hiring a Communications & Content Specialist to join their team full-time in Ottawa. The Communications & Content Specialist is responsible for creating and optimizing strategic content across various channels, including e-blasts, reports, social media, and Member communications. This role requires excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex industry topics for diverse audiences.
This is a permanent position, requiring 2 days in-office, 3 days remote (on-site parking available).
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, write, and edit high-quality content (articles, reports, guides) for the real property valuation profession.
- Develop and coordinate member-focused communications, including e-blasts and updates.
- Draft organizational communications such as press releases and policy updates.
- Support event marketing by creating materials for webinars, conferences, and workshops.
- Ensure editorial standards and consistency across all content.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align communications with organizational goals.
- Measure and optimize the impact of communication efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in writing or communications, preferably in an association, regulatory body or non-profit.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with content management systems, email marketing, and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of the Canadian real estate, finance, or property valuation sector is a plus.
- Creative and capable of engaging diverse audiences.
- French is an asset.
