We are assisting our reputable non-for-profit client with the search for a Senior Data Modeler Lead who will join their team on a 6-month remote contract with a strong possibility for extension.
Position Summary:
- Location: Remote (must be able in EST time zone)
- Contract Duration: 6 months to start with a possibility of extension
- Work Type: Full-time contract (37.5 hours per week)
- Pay rates: $80-95/HR
- Must have: 10+ years in data modeling, Erwin, leadership experience
Project Overview:
The organization is executing two major data governance initiatives focused on payroll applications and retail solutions. These projects involve migrating legacy systems to modern cloud platforms.
Role overview:
You are a seasoned data management professional with expertise in data governance and modeling. You excel in leading projects, mentoring teams, and delivering high-quality data solutions. Your ability to ensure data integrity and governance in large-scale migration projects makes you an asset in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of data modeling, data quality, metadata management, and governance solutions.
- Oversee project execution by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and mentoring team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to data governance standards.
- Design and optimize data models to support migration and governance objectives.
- Maintain data integrity by identifying gaps and implementing quality controls.
- Utilize data management tools for metadata management and governance frameworks.
- Provide stakeholders with reports on data quality and governance metrics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10–15 years of experience in data modeling and governance.
- Expertise in Erwin 360 for data modeling and metadata management.
- Strong SQL skills for query design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with data governance frameworks and quality tools.
- Proven leadership in delivering data management initiatives.
- Ability to delegate tasks and manage deliverables effectively.
- Experience with data management tools for data quality, metadata, and governance.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms and migration strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
