Agilus is recruiting for a Pipeline Simulation Specialist in the Midstream Oil and Gas Industry in Edmonton, Alberta. The Pipeline Simulation Analyst's main duties involve developing, maintaining, and testing Computational Pipeline Monitoring (CPM) systems, which encompass leak detection, batch tracking, and pressure monitoring. A typical day: Create and deliver CPM training materials for Control Center Operators Develop and maintain Computational Pipeline Monitoring (CPM) systems to safeguard people, the environment, and assets. Monitor and assess CPM system performance, including sensitivity testing through fluid withdrawal and simulated leak tests. Identify and recommend improvements for CPM systems, pipeline operations, and field instrumentation. Configure, commission, and troubleshoot Kepware and OPC servers. Provide 24/7 CPM application support and assist Control Center Operators in determining the causes of CPM alarms. Participate in the department's on-call rotation. Develop and maintain leak detection manuals and technical documentation. Successful candidates will have: 2+ years of experience in the petroleum industry. Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering. Experience working with ATMOS and SPS CPM Systems is considered an asset. Experience developing and maintaining online computer simulations. Knowledge of pipeline leak detection, hydraulics, and operations. Experience working with real-time software. Experience developing and delivering technical training to non-technical personnel.
