Contract opportunity for an operator just outside of Edmonton! Agilus is recruiting for a Support Operator - 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineer in the Oil & Gas Industry in Gibbons, Alberta. The Process Operator will have strong background in Refinery/Upgrader operation and must understand the unit functionality and design constraints, including operability and maintainability criteria of the unit specific equipment. Process Operators work a 12-hour, rotating, day/night shift. Responsibilities: Effectively troubleshoot plant problems taking proactive/ preventative/ and corrective actions to avoid equipment or system failures and to prevent injury to people and the environment; Ensures effective operation of the refinery process units for the safe and efficient operation of the plant; Maintains daily shift operating logs and perform proper shift handover; Issues work permits to maintenance for equipment repairs and alteration; Successful candidates will have: Minimum 4th Class with preference for 3rd class Power Engineering. Successful completion of ABSA A and B. Ability to work 12 hour shifts, Days and Nights, 4/5/5 schedule Drug & Alcohol and Criminal Record Check will be required.
