Our client working in the Education industry is hiring a Bilingual Manager of Counselling and Psychotherapy to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. 

The Manager oversees the daily operations of the Counselling Centre, supporting students and clinical supervisors involved in practicum activities. They manage student externships, maintain relationships with professional associations and the community, and handle office administration.

The successful candidate will be fluent in both English and French.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a balanced student-to-client ratio and evaluate the Centre’s services.
  • Oversee student and supervisor follow-ups and ensure proper file management.
  • Handle hiring recommendations, prepare contracts, and approve hours for clinic staff.
  • Collect and manage practicum evaluations and update clinic statistics.
  • Manage the clinic’s budget with the School Director.
  • Oversee proper management of client files and student case assignments.
  • Manage clinical supervision groups for students.
  • Identify and establish practicum opportunities for students.
  • Build and maintain relationships with institutions offering internships.
  • Support students in finding internships and evaluate their experience.
  • Maintain and develop connections with local organizations and associations to recruit clients.
  • Promote the Centre’s services and represent the Centre in the community.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Counselling or related field
  • Counselling and case management experience
  • CRPO / OPAO membership
  • Experience in marketing, personnel, and budget management
  • Familiarity with local community organizations
  • Fluent in English and French (written and oral)
  • Strong interpersonal, judgment, and ethical decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
