Job Summary:
Our client, a well-established engineering firm in North York, is seeking a Payroll Analyst with accounting experience for an 11-week onsite contract. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, along with a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process full-cycle payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll regulations.
Maintain payroll records, process adjustments, and handle payroll-related inquiries.
Assist with month-end payroll reconciliations and journal entries.
Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation.
Collaborate with the accounting team on payroll-related accounting functions.
Assist with remittances, benefits administration, and year-end payroll processes.
Support audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and reports.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in payroll processing and accounting.
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and best practices in Canada.
Experience with payroll software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work onsite in North York for the duration of the contract.
