Our client is seeking a Director of Facilities Management to oversee facility operations, including buildings, electrical and mechanical systems, civil infrastructure, and cleaning services. Responsibilities include ensuring safe and reliable facilities, leading a multidisciplinary team, managing budgets, overseeing maintenance projects, and providing technical expertise to senior management. The role involves planning maintenance programs, optimizing lifecycle management, and supporting emergencies.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of airport facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
- Develop and implement maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and lifecycle management best practices.
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of trades, technicians, and consultants.
- Provide technical guidance to senior management on maintenance planning and infrastructure improvements.
- Manage budgets, contracts, and third-party relationships to optimize facility operations.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian building codes, health & safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Support emergency response efforts and facility-related crisis management.
Qualifications & Experience- 10+ years of experience managing facility operations in a large organization and complex infrastructure environment.
- University degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and civil systems.
- Strong leadership, budgeting, contract management, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of Canadian building codes, health & safety regulations, and LEED principles.
- Valid Class G driver’s license and ability to obtain RAIC security clearance.
