About LRDG

LRDG, or Language Research Development Group, is a private language learning company founded in Montreal in 2002. Operating for over 20 years, we have successfully established ourselves as one of Canada's leading language learning companies. What sets LRDG apart from other language learning companies and schools is that our services are offered in a virtual setting (rather than in a classroom). LRDG has also developed its own virtual tools and content, from a technological and pedagogical perspective, to support distance learning of French and English as second languages. In addition to developing these learning modules, LRDG contracts ESL and FSL tutors and assessors to conduct tutoring and assessment sessions to support learners in their efforts to improve their second language fluency. Our primary client is the Government of Canada. The majority of our learners are adults, particularly federal public servants, seeking to improve their French or English as a second language skills.
