About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established organization in the commercial sector, is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting while supporting the full accounting cycle in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
You will work closely with experienced finance leaders and cross-functional teams including Real Estate and Marketing, contributing to accurate financial insights that drive business decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to build hands-on experience and deepen their technical expertise.

Your Responsibilities
- You’ll support month-end close activities by preparing journal entries, accruals, and account analyses
- You’ll reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy across the general ledger
- In this role, you’ll monitor cash flow activity and manage daily banking transactions and reconciliations
- You’ll coordinate with internal teams to track financial activity and ensure timely reporting
- You’ll assist in preparing financial statements and supporting audit processes
- You’ll manage fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and asset tracking
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- 1–2 years of accounting experience, month end, HST/GST/PST tax return experience required
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, exposure to US GAAP is an asset
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with ERP systems such as Navision is an asset
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across teams
