Our client, a respected organization supporting military families across Canada, is seeking a Bilingual Programs and Communications Coordinator to help amplify important programs and initiatives. In this role, you will contribute to communications strategies that strengthen engagement, enhance visibility, and ensure families have access to clear and meaningful information.
Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders, you will create engaging content, support campaigns, and coordinate communications that reach diverse audiences. Your Responsibilities
- You’ll develop engaging communications and marketing materials such as presentations, promotional tools, fact sheets, infographics, and advertisements.
- In this role, you’ll draft and edit content for newsletters, websites, reports, and social media platforms.
- You’ll manage social media accounts, monitor engagement metrics, and recommend improvements to strengthen audience reach.
- You’ll coordinate communications campaigns and support the promotion of programs and events.
- You’ll maintain brand consistency and ensure communications follow established standards and procedures.
- You’ll analyze communications data and provide insights to help improve future campaigns and engagement strategies.
- You’ll collaborate with internal staff and external stakeholders to support communications initiatives and ensure alignment across programs.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in both English and French
- Experience creating and managing content across multiple platforms including websites, email campaigns, and social media
- Experience using tools such as Mailchimp, Hootsuite, and Meta Business Suite
- Basic graphic design experience using tools such as Canva
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Familiarity with the Canadian Armed Forces community or military family lifestyle is considered an asset
