Are you a self-motivated, results-driven individual with a passion of offering strategic advice and supporting senior leadership in preparing for bilateral and multilateral negotiations to advance affordable housing initiatives in Alberta?
This role requires deep expertise in Alberta’s public housing sector, as well as comprehensive knowledge of cross-jurisdictional programs, policies, and legislation across the housing continuum.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will lead and support provincial housing initiatives by interpreting intergovernmental agreements, preparing the department for bilateral and multilateral negotiations, coordinating outcome reporting, advising senior officials, and representing the Division in federal, provincial, and territorial forums.
As the Intergovernmental Relations Analyst, you will support provincial housing initiatives by researching and analyzing policies, preparing briefings and recommendations, representing the Housing Division on committees, engaging cross-ministry and intergovernmental partners and stakeholders, and advising senior leaders on complex intergovernmental and policy issues.
You will be responsible for providing strategic advice, briefings, and issues analysis to senior leaders to support informed decision-making and effective participation in provincial and intergovernmental housing initiatives.
You will build collaborative relationships with cross-ministry and intergovernmental partners and advise senior leaders on complex, high-profile housing issues, including the impacts of federal policies and intergovernmental agreements on affordable housing in Alberta.

Minimum Requirements:
Equivalency: One year of education for one year of experience; or one year of experience for one year of education.

This is a full-time permanent position, with a standard work week of 36.25 hours, Monday through Friday.
Work location is in Edmonton.
