Job Purpose 

The Field Supervisor will provide supervision, oversight and direction to our Medicine Hat region clients as assigned by the Director, Service Delivery. The Field Supervisor will work closely with the Director and monitor the performance of front-line staff assigned to client sites. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provide supervision, guidance and coordination to front line staff 

  • Follow up on issues related to short notice / emergency guard fills & replacements in conjunction with DCC 

  • Report incidents / issues that have the potential to affect the Company to the VP Service Delivery while keeping them informed (service failure, serious injury/event, critical security incident etc.) 

  • Investigate pay issues and work with DCC & Payroll to correct any scheduling errors as required 

  • Ensure site documentation is up to date (post orders, training records, FLHA’s etc.) 

  • Establish and update site SOPs as needed 

  • Work with the DCC to identify temporary placement requirements for vacation or LOA 

  • Work with the Workforce Management Coordinator to ensure sufficiently trained spares are identified in the event replacement guards are required 

  • Support communication initiatives with frontline staff such as the distribution of memos, newsflashes, etc. 

  • Regular and frequent site visits and no-notice inspections to perform quality assurance inspections on front-line staff 

  • Support the completion of performance evaluations for front-line staff 

  • Other duties assigned by the VP Service Delivery 


Education Requirements 

  • Alberta Security Guard License (prerequisite) 

  • Standard or Emergency first aid certificate (prerequisite) 

  • A suitable combination of education and experience 

  • Class 5 Drivers License 


Knowledge Requirements 

  • Advanced knowledge of Track Tik is an asset 

  • Advanced knowledge of Commissionaires business processes is an asset
