We are seeking a highly skilled SwiftStack Object Storage Engineer to lead the architecture, implementation, and ongoing support of SwiftStack-based object storage solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Swift architecture, ring building, cluster configuration, and performance tuning, with a deep understanding of 1space, metadata management, and S3 integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement SwiftStack Object Storage architecture to meet performance, scalability, and durability requirements.
- Build and maintain the Swift ring; configure and deploy Swift services.
- Manage and configure Swift clusters, including adding nodes and deploying changes.
- Configure and manage 1space, including cross-cloud data mapping and synchronization.
- Perform cluster tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot complex SwiftStack-related issues, including networking, replication, and data consistency.
- Implement and manage Swift automation workflows for deployment and monitoring.
- Ensure encryption, data protection, and compliance policies are applied effectively.
- Fetch and interpret S3-specific data and metadata related to SwiftStack.
- Understand and apply SwiftStack metadata concepts and manage file access protocols.
- Support handling of large objects (LO) and dynamic large objects (DLO) for scalable data ingestion and retrieval.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in SwiftStack Object Storage.
- Strong understanding of Swift ring building, cluster deployment, and 1space configuration.
- Proficient in Swift automation, scripting, and monitoring tools.
- Experience with data encryption and data protection methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of S3 protocol, metadata mapping, and access control.
- Familiarity with large object storage techniques (LO/DLO) in Swift.
- Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
- Experience in managing multi-node storage clusters.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-cloud/hybrid cloud storage deployments.
- Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, or other automation languages.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins) for infrastructure automation.
