Role

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance and Business Supports Division, the Executive Director, Strategic Planning and Operations provides strategic leadership and oversight for a broad portfolio of planning and administrative services that are essential to the Ministry’s success. This includes responsibility for strategic planning and reporting, project and portfolio management, capital planning, strategic accommodations, tracking public responses, emergency management and security operations. The role also leads key initiatives in business planning, enterprise risk management, red tape reduction, business continuity, and employee security. Collaborating closely with ministry executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, the Executive Director ensures the effective delivery of services, drives operational excellence, and fosters a positive working environment that supports staff engagement and professional development.

 

 

Qualifications

You bring extensive senior management experience, with a high level of expertise in project management, policy development and implementation as well as strategic and operational planning. Your collaborative leadership style, exceptional communication and innovative resource management skills are essential to your success. Recognized as a systems thinker, you are known for your innovative problem solving, strong commitment to continuous improvement and ability to achieve results. Your capacity to influence, support and develop your team as well as build partnerships with a diverse group of stakeholders will also be key in this role. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

 

 

Salary

$5,234.94 - $6,879.68 bi-weekly ($136,631 - $179,559 annually)
