Agilus is seeking a Data Engineer with expertise in Databricks to help lead the migration to a modern lakehouse architecture. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of data infrastructure and analytics capabilities across the organization.
How you will make an impact:
Design and implement scalable data architecture using the medallion model (bronze, silver, gold) within Databricks, enabling efficient data transformation and access across the organization
Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from key systems like POS and ERP, while optimizing for performance and cost in a cloud environment
Establish strong data governance practices using Unity Catalog, ensuring secure, compliant, and well-managed access to data assets
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define standardized metrics through a semantic layer, and support advanced analytics, AI/ML, and forecasting initiatives
Foster a culture of data excellence and continuous learning
Mentor and upskill team members on Databricks best practices, fostering a culture of data excellence, quality monitoring, and continuous learning
You bring:
5+ years of experience in data engineering, including 2+ years with Databricks
Strong skills in Python and SQL for data transformation
Hands-on experience with Delta Lake and medallion architecture
Hands-on experience with Delta Lake and medallion architecture
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Ability to mentor and communicate technical concepts clearly
Strong foundation in data modeling and semantic layer design, with hands-on experience using Power BI or similar data visualization tools
Proven track record of migrating data from on-premises systems to cloud environments
Further additional qualifications:
Databricks certification is a plus
