Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

Join a winning team at Scotiabank! Are you enthusiastic about using artificial intelligence to create meaningful outcomes for Canadian businesses? In Canadian Commercial Banking, we do not just serve businesses, we serve possibilities.

About the Opportunity

As the Senior AI Product Owner, Canadian Commercial Banking you will help shape and advance the AI product strategy for Canadian Commercial Banking. You will lead AI-enabled products from initial use-case discovery through development, rollout, adoption, optimization, and value realization.

Working across business, engineering, data, architecture, risk, privacy, compliance, and enterprise AI teams, you will translate business needs and AI capabilities into practical product decisions. You will ensure solutions deliver measurable business and client outcomes while aligning with internal policies, governance standards, and responsible AI requirements.

How You Will Make an Impact:

    • Define and communicate a clear AI product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business priorities and the AI operating model.
    • Own and maintain the Canadian Commercial Banking AI product roadmap, including the evolution of AI capabilities and reusable solutions.
    • Identify and prioritize AI use cases that enhance employee productivity, improve the client experience, and generate measurable business value.
    • Lead AI products across the full lifecycle, from discovery and prioritization through delivery, rollout, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
    • Manage backlog priorities and partner with Business Analysts, engineering teams, and other delivery partners to prepare user stories and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
    • Develop business cases and work with stakeholders to support funding, prioritization, and delivery planning.
    • Translate AI capabilities, constraints, opportunities, and risks into clear, practical product decisions.
    • Coordinate required enterprise reviews and approvals, partnering with architecture, engineering, risk, privacy, compliance, and enterprise AI teams.
    • Ensure AI solutions align with platform requirements, governance expectations, and responsible AI standards.
    • Participate in agile ceremonies and provide the product context needed to support effective delivery.
    • Champion a client-focused culture that deepens relationships and draws on the Bank’s broader capabilities, systems, and knowledge.
    • Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

You bring a strong combination of strategic product leadership, practical AI experience, and business acumen. You can connect technical possibilities with real business needs, build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, and explain AI opportunities and limitations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You are organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a complex, cross-functional environment. You understand how to move a product from concept into production while balancing client value, business priorities, delivery considerations, governance, and risk.

     Must-Have

    • Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in digital product management or product ownership.
    • Demonstrated experience building or scaling AI-enabled products, enterprise automation products, decision-support products, or model-driven experiences in a production environment.
    • Experience developing and launching digital or AI-enabled solutions within cross-functional teams.
    • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles.
    • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with excellent attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
    • The ability to explain AI opportunities, limitations, constraints, and risks clearly to non-technical audiences.

     Nice-to-Have

    • Product management or product ownership experience within Commercial Banking, financial services, or fintech.
    • Strong knowledge of Commercial Banking concepts, business processes, and relevant domain workflows.
    • Experience partnering with architecture, engineering, privacy, risk, compliance, data, or enterprise AI teams.
    • Experience navigating enterprise governance, approval, and responsible AI requirements.
    • Experience supporting product adoption, value measurement, and ongoing optimization following implementation.
