  • Maintain accurate architecture, build, configuration, credential-location, lifecycle, and support documentation in approved repositories.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide coverage, peer review, cross-training, and a consistent operating approach across database platforms and environments.
  • Contribute database expertise to security, service-account, certificate, audit, and compliance-related changes while respecting information-handling and Controlled Goods requirements.
  • Participate in technical planning related to platform lifecycle, licensing, obsolescence, and future application transitions.
  • Work primarily from Halifax, Nova Scotia, with regular access to the Halifax office and secure customer environments as required.
  • Work outside normal business hours occasionally to support production releases, maintenance windows, and urgent operational requirements.
  • Travel occasionally to customer or partner locations as required.

  • Ability to understand applications from both technical and operational perspectives and collaborate effectively with application developers, infrastructure specialists, testers, and business users.
  • Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to work methodically during outages and time-sensitive maintenance activities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare implementation plans, support notes, and durable technical documentation.
  • Ability to contribute effectively to peer review, knowledge transfer, and shared operational ownership.
