The Senior Program Manager, Program Management, Canadian Banking Transformation Office plays a key role in delivering complex, cross-functional programs that advance strategic priorities across Canadian Banking. Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, you will partner with senior leaders and business teams to lead high-priority transformation, regulatory change, and strategic growth initiatives. You will provide end-to-end program leadership, establish strong governance, manage interdependencies and risks, and ensure programs deliver sustainable business outcomes.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong executive presence, stakeholder management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to bring structure and momentum to complex initiatives involving multiple business units.

What You'll Be Doing

Strategic Accountabilities
• Lead enterprise-wide initiatives that drive collaboration across Retail, Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, Private Banking, Roynat, National Accounts and GBM to accelerate growth, deepen client primacy and unlock the full value of the Bank's integrated capabilities.
• Drive initiatives focused on client acquisition, relationship primacy, referral growth, market share expansion and integrated client solutions across business lines.
• Translate strategic priorities into measurable outcomes through OKRs, scorecards, governance mechanisms and performance management frameworks that enable transparency, accountability and execution excellence.

Program Leadership & Delivery
• Lead complex, cross-functional programs from planning through execution and delivery.
• Establish clear program objectives, scope, milestones, success measures, and accountabilities.
• Oversee integrated planning across multiple projects and workstreams.
• Manage program interdependencies and ensure key milestones and deliverables remain on track.
• Apply consistent program management methodologies, tools, templates, and best practices.
• Lead multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a strong focus on business outcomes and benefits realization.

Governance & Executive Engagement
• Provide concise, executive-ready reporting on program health, progress, risks, issues, and key decisions.
• Act as a key liaison between executive sponsors, senior stakeholders, and delivery teams.
• Drive accountability and facilitate timely decision-making across the program.

Stakeholder Management
• Identify and prioritize key stakeholders across the Bank.
• Develop effective stakeholder engagement strategies based on business needs, influence, and expectations.
• Build trusted relationships across business lines and functions.
• Facilitate transparent communication and help resolve competing priorities or stakeholder concerns.
• Secure and maintain executive and stakeholder alignment throughout program delivery.

Risk, Issue & Change Management
• Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies that could impact program outcomes.
• Escalate critical issues with clear recommendations and resolution strategies.
• Lead and support change-management activities to build stakeholder buy-in and adoption.
• Help ensure new processes and ways of working are successfully embedded and sustained.

Culture & Risk Management
• Champion a customer-focused culture and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
• Consider the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Support effective business controls and adherence to operational, compliance, AML/ATF, sanctions, and conduct-risk requirements.
• Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment.

What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related discipline; MBA is considered an asset.
• 7+ years of program management experience, including responsibility for programs valued at more than $5 million.
• Strong knowledge of the financial services sector, banking regulations, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional strategic or regulatory initiatives.
• Ability to manage multiple programs and competing priorities while delivering results.
• Strong executive stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver executive-level presentations.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex or escalated issues while minimizing business impact.
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• PMP, PgMP, MSP, MGP (Master of Project Management), or a comparable program/project management certification.
• Experience supporting large-scale business transformation, regulatory change, or strategic growth initiatives within financial services.
• Experience working with senior executives and cross-functional teams in a large, complex organization.

Other Information
• Builder mentality with the ability to create structure, processes, and operating models in environments characterized by ambiguity, evolving priorities, and limited precedent.

Scope of the Role
• Programs may include up to five projects and involve five or more systems.
• Typical program budgets range from approximately $5 million to $15 million.
• Primary focus is Canadian Banking.
• The role has no direct reports.
• Familiarity with Canadian banking regulatory bodies and requirements is important.

Working Environment
This role operates in a hybrid office environment, with Montreal as the primary location. Limited domestic travel may be required.
