Your Opportunity
As a Project Manager, Building Mechanical Engineering based in our Québec City office, you will be responsible for successfully delivering building mechanical projects of varying size and complexity, within established budgets and schedules, while serving as the primary client contact and fostering strong business relationships.
Your Key Responsibilities Project Management
- Identify, analyze, and validate client needs, present technical information, concepts, or study results, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Prepare service proposals for building mechanical engineering projects.
- Determine the human, material, and technological resources required to complete projects.
- Assess project risks and critical events.
- Define project scope and fee budgets.
- Develop project plans to achieve cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Coordinate project resources and communicate project objectives.
- Ensure compliance and quality of deliverables, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor project progress and prepare required reports.
- Manage changes arising from client requests or site conditions and implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate the delivery of project deliverables to the client.
- Prepare requests for additional fees when necessary.
- Oversee project invoicing and follow-up.
- Maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients.
Technical Leadership
- Participate in the preparation of service proposals.
- Perform design calculations and ensure designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and project requirements.
- Develop plans, specifications, and calculations for various HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Oversee estimating activities, field surveys, and the preparation of plans and specifications.
- Prepare and approve technical reports.
- Provide technical expertise across a variety of projects.
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers and technologists, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience;
- Licensed Professional Engineer and member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Relevant experience in the consulting engineering industry (a strong asset);
- Dynamic, proactive, and committed to teamwork and collaboration;
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and priority-management skills;
- Certification in General Health and Safety on Construction Sites (ASP Construction);
- Proficiency in spoken and written French (English is an asset).

**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
