Purpose

 

The Senior Regional Insurance Manager, Omni Channel Distribution contributes to the overall success of Creditor Insurance distribution across Contact Centre, Virtual Advice Team, Retention Teams, and BNSIA channels. The role supports the growth and adoption of Scotia credit-related insurance products within Retail Lending by delivering coaching, training, and sales support across the assigned region.

As a trusted partner to sales leaders and frontline teams, you will help drive business growth, enhance client experiences, and ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

 

 

What You'll Do

 

Drive Distribution Growth and Sales Effectiveness

 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional leadership teams across Retail and Small Business Banking channels, including Regional SVPs, RVPs, Vice Presidents, Regional Directors, and Sales Managers.
  • Influence leadership engagement and secure support for creditor insurance initiatives and business growth strategies.
  • Support regional revenue and profitability objectives through increased product penetration and sales effectiveness.
  • Identify growth opportunities by analyzing market trends, performance data, and business results.

 

Coach, Train and Develop Teams

 

  • Deliver ongoing coaching, training, and support to sales teams across multiple channels to enhance product knowledge, customer suitability assessments, and sales practices.
  • Ensure teams have a strong understanding of creditor insurance products, including benefits, conditions, limitations, and exclusions.
  • Share best practices, sales strategies, and policy guidance to drive strong customer outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and resource for sales leaders, onboarding teams, and field coaching partners.

 

Deliver Engaging Presentations and Regional Support

 

  • Facilitate impactful presentations and training sessions at regional, district, group, and individual meetings.
  • Participate in client appreciation events, information sessions, and regional business events.
  • Collaborate closely with Client Solutions Canada, Direct Branch Onboarding teams, and Field Coaching partners to support sales enablement and distribution excellence.

 

Foster Collaboration and Operational Excellence

 

  • Partner with Senior Regional Insurance Managers across Canada to achieve national and regional objectives.
  • Promote a culture of performance, accountability, inclusion, and collaboration.
  • Operate in alignment with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.
  • Support compliance with operational, conduct, AML/ATF, sanctions, and regulatory requirements.

 

 

What You Bring

 

Experience

 

  • 7+ years of sales experience within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated success in sales leadership, coaching, relationship management, and business development.
  • Experience delivering presentations, facilitating training sessions, and influencing diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong understanding of retail banking sales and distribution channels, including both direct and indirect models.

 

Skills

 

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong coaching and facilitation capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and engage leaders and sales teams at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess performance data and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Self-motivated and highly effective working independently with minimal supervision.

 

Education and Credentials

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Thorough understanding of insurance and financial planning concepts.
  • PFP, CFP, AMP, or related designations are considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Scotiabank onboarding teams and sales support functions is considered an asset.
