Your Responsibilities
• You'll own and optimize a Yocto-based Linux distribution, managing BitBake recipes, device trees, secure boot configurations, and BSP development for embedded platforms.
• You'll develop and troubleshoot the Linux audio stack, including ALSA System-on-Chip (ASoC), PipeWire, WirePlumber, and digital audio interfaces such as I2S and TDM.
• You'll integrate and maintain third-party vendor SDKs, resolve kernel and driver compatibility issues, and support ongoing platform enhancements.
• You'll collaborate with hardware engineering teams during board bring-up, validating digital interfaces and troubleshooting low-level hardware and software interactions.
• You'll investigate complex system performance issues using tools such as ftrace, perf, LTTng, and Wireshark to optimize latency, boot performance, power consumption, and audio reliability.

Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of Embedded Linux development experience, including significant experience with audio or multimedia systems.
• Expert knowledge of Yocto Project, BitBake, BSP development, and NXP i.MX or comparable embedded platforms.
• Strong experience with ALSA System-on-Chip (ASoC), GStreamer and/or PipeWire, including audio driver configuration and debugging.
• Proven experience integrating proprietary SDKs, binary libraries, codecs, or DSP components into embedded Linux environments.
• Strong C programming skills with kernel driver development and patching experience, along with the ability to analyze hardware schematics and digital interfaces.
• Experience using tracing and debugging tools such as ftrace, LTTng, perf, Wireshark, oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers. Experience with Secure Boot, HDMI subsystems (V4L2/EDID), and Python or Bash scripting is considered an asset.
