Pay: HK$17,888 - HK$22,357 per month (see Remark 2)

Job Duties:

1. Assist therapists to prepare and carry out treatment programs/activities, educational activities and out-patient group activities for patients.
   2. Assist in setting up and assembly of equipment and prepare patients for investigation.
   3. Carry out body measurements, patient assessment and investigation.
   4. Provide technical assistance and observation during care process/examination procedures.
   5. Assist in preparation of audio-visual aids, visual/ written materials and software installation for patient education activities.
   6. Perform triage, out-patient registration, appointment booking, reception duties, collection of revenue and handle patient enquiries.
   7. Manage patient record system and retrieve patient data from in-house computer systems.
   8. Collect, verify and compile statistics.
   9. Assist in inventory control and procurement process.
   10. Clean and sterilize equipments, apparatus, instruments, containers and working areas.
   11. Perform procedures and maintain documentation to comply with the requirement for quality, safety, occupational health & environmental protection.
   12. Computer operation and data processing may be required.
   13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Entry Requirements:

1. F.5 / S.5 or equivalent.
   2.  Completed structured departmental training (See Remark 2).
   3. Fluent in Cantonese and English.

Preferred Attributes/Exposure:
1.Holding certificate(s) related to computing studies.
2. Holding certificate(s) of training in physiotherapy assistant or equivalent.
3. Holding certificate of the Health Care Assistant Course / Care-related Support Worker Course accredited by HA (See Remark 3).
4. Possess working experience in patient care.
5. Pleasant and mature character, have interest in direct patient care.

Remarks:
1. Appointment will be on contract terms for an initial period of 1-3 years.5% of total basic salary as end- of-contract gratuity may be offered upon satisfactory completion of contract.

2.Applicants who do not meet entry requirements (2), if find suitable, will be employed as Patient Care Assistant IIIA to undergo at least 6 months' structured departmental training with monthly salary of $14,958. After completing the structured departmental training and passing the training assessment on skills and performance, the staff will be employed as Patient Care Assistant II with monthly salary of $17,888. Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the assessment after training.
