The Receiving Inspector performs product inspection and audits of quality control programs. They are responsible for performing packaging line and manufacturing inspections, as well as sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials. The Receiving Inspector also ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards. The RI may apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated. They may also assess draft and final label copy, using knowledge of labelling regulations. Accountabilities: Conducts repetitive inspection of product/materials against known standards, procedures and checklists; identify and segregate non-conforming material Contributes to identifying, articulating and escalating concerns for Technical Support or Engineering, and assists in gathering requested information and proof necessary to help establish the root cause of problems and determine corrective action Properly executes inventory control, cycle counting, and computer transactions Identifies, reads/interprets and applies complex ECO modifications or other instructions May conduct process audits in manufacturing Supports other company requirements when necessary Successful candidates will have: A minimum of 1-2 years’ related experience Has working knowledge of the IPC 610 Standard Ability to pass a criminal background check Legally eligible to work in Canada with no restrictions We offer: $18+ per hour 3 - 8 weeks of on-site (and paid!) training Long-term employment and opportunity for growth with one of our clients Opportunity for extension or permanent placement Weekly pay including 4% vacation pay Transit accessible or free parking Let's connect!
