We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk with a prominent Property management corporation in Toronto. This On-site role requires the selected candidate to work onsite 5 days a week, starting with a three-month contract, with the potential for extension based on performance and project needs. The successful candidate will have had working experience with Yardi voyager. 

Start Date: ASAP

Contract length: 3 Months 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process and enter invoices; manage related documentation and filing.
  2. Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial report preparation.
  3. Manage AP and Pension Plan mailboxes; communicate with vendors and departments on invoice issues.
  4. Ensure timely payment, vendor reconciliation, and resolution of discrepancies.
  5. Support pay runs, month-end, year-end, and audit activities.
  6. Manage accounting adjustments and ensure all processes comply with the Accounts Payable (AP) control framework
  7. Update AP procedures, databases, and spreadsheets.
Must-haves Qualifications:
  • 2 years of AP experience minimum
  • Experience with Yardi is a must
  • Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and principles, including journals, ledgers, control accounts, and financial statements.
  • Familiarity with accounting terms, practices, and their application in business settings.
  • Understanding of the accounting system and cycle in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to present accounting data clearly in statements and reports.
  • Proficiency with basic computer hardware, operating systems, applications, and databases for organizing files and preparing spreadsheets.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel
