Based in Mississauga, ON and reporting to the Director, Leasing, the Leasing Representative will be responsible for the overall leasing activities of assigned properties within the Greater Toronto Area.

The successful candidate will be a key member of a highly engaged, results-oriented team within a supportive, energetic culture that values people development, project quality, and focuses on long-term growth

Responsibilities:

• Lease vacant space and renew existing tenants in the assigned portfolio of industrial properties and assist on other managed properties, as required
• Tour properties with prospective tenants/brokers, negotiate financial and legal terms, prepare new and renewal proposals, and assist in negotiation of Leases, in conjunction with the lease administration department, asset management and external legal counsel
• Gather and analyze industrial market data with an emphasis on current lease rates, inducements, occupancy and absorption, on a competitive properties and future trends
• Prepare lease recommendations to obtain varying levels of approval dictated by the organization’s approval matrix
• Actively participate and contribute to monthly leasing/property strategy meetings; prepare and present market related data as required to support the team
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with brokers, tenants and industry professionals through industry events, lunches and real estate associations
• Assist with the Annual Budget Process by providing recommendations on leasing assumptions, participating in the preparation of non-recoverable budgets, providing market intelligence on competitive additional rents and commenting on recoverable capital
• Assist with the preparation and execution of marketing plans for the portfolio and coordinate with other Industrial team members on portfolio level marketing initiatives and broker engagement
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, as required, to support Portfolio Management’s client deliveries
• Assist the Director, Leasing in identifying and analyzing potential new opportunities
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of related real estate leasing experience, with an emphasis on the industrial asset class preferred
• College or University Degree
• Real Estate License, active in the Province of Ontario
• Strong working knowledge of legal concepts included in offers and leases, and negotiation skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required
