Job Ad: Tester

Duration: April 2025 – May 2026, with potential two 6 month extensions
Location: Primarily Onsite in Regina, followed by a hybrid work model, working 2 days per week onsite.
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week), Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST

Altis Technology is seeking a Tester for a contract opportunity with one of our Public Sector clients in Regina, SK.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing for data conversion and migration for Legacy and Target Applications.
  • Create and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Document and report test results and deviations.
  • Manage and track test plans, test cases, and bugs using JIRA.
  • Collaborate with vendors and product owners to resolve issues.
  • Communicate test progress and results to stakeholders.
  • Update test documentation as needed throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving testing processes.
  • Develop and execute advanced SQL queries to validate database results.
  • Support business users during SIT, UAT, Dry Runs, and Production.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of direct experience in system testing for large and complex IT projects.
  • Experience in testing complex data migration projects.
  • Proficient in JIRA for test management and bug tracking.
  • Advanced SQL skills for database validation.
  • Solid understanding of MS SQL and Oracle databases.
  • Strong interpersonal, management, and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
