Our Nuclear client is seeking a talented Process System Engineer to join their team in the GTA. This role is open to out of province candidates and individuals with an oil and gas background.
Agilus is recruiting for a Process Systems Engineer in the Nuclear industry in Mississauga, Ontario.
As a Process Systems Engineer you will be responsible for design solutions and assessments for new, updated and modified process systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide design solutions and assessments for new, updated and modified process systems, structures and components
Prepare and /or review design documents for Nuclear Power Plants, e.g., Design Calculation, Design Requirements, Assessments, Technical Specifications, Drawings, Bill of Materials, and System Code Classification
Perform thermal hydraulic evaluations on complex systems
Prepare and/or review Engineering Quotation Request and Tender Technical Evaluations and Prepare and/or review Engineering packages
Perform walkdowns, attend site visits and meetings as required
Support Engineering Management with timely updates on engineering progress and Interface with internal and external stake holders as required
Ensure applicable code, standards and regulatory requirements are met and ensure adherence to company quality program
Ensure adherence to project delivery requirements and schedule
Successful candidates will have:
Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario or registered in another province and eligible to register in Ontario.
Engineering degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or Engineering Science
A minimum of 7 years of experience in process-system design/analysis and providing design solutions
Experience performing heat balance and thermal hydraulic evaluations
Experience in process system design and layout
Knowledge of analytical tools used for mechanical and process design (e.g. ANSYS, Mathcad, Flomaster, NUCIRC, CATHENA or similar)
Working knowledge of/experience with the CSA B51 standard, ASME Section III, ASME B31.1 codes
Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC)
