Grow with us, H2O+U. Stantec is seeking a Project Engineer / Design Coordinator to support Metro Vancouver's Iona Island Wastewater Treatment Plant Program. Working as part of the Iona Program Management Team (IPMT), you will support the delivery of major wastewater infrastructure projects through design coordination, stakeholder engagement, and project management support. This role will work closely with Metro Vancouver, the Design Consultant, and Stantec subject matter experts to facilitate design reviews, coordinate multidisciplinary input, and support project decision-making throughout planning, design, and implementation. This is a unique opportunity to help deliver one of the largest wastewater treatment plant programs in Canada and play a key role in shaping sustainable infrastructure for future generations. Your Key Responsibilities: - Support the delivery of major wastewater infrastructure projects through design coordination, stakeholder engagement, and project management support. - Coordinate reviews of design submissions, technical memoranda, reports, and engineering deliverables. - Coordinate input from Stantec subject matter experts, including reviews of process, BIM, civil, structural, geotechnical, and other technical disciplines. - Facilitate coordination meetings and drive timely resolution of design comments, technical issues, and project action items. - Support responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and assist with design development and progression activities. - Coordinate and consolidate input from Metro Vancouver stakeholders to support efficient design review and decision-making processes. - Work collaboratively with Metro Vancouver, design consultants, contractors, and technical specialists to support project objectives. - Support workshops, technical meetings, stakeholder engagement sessions, and design review activities. - Bachelor’s degree in civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in municipal water, wastewater, or industrial water infrastructure projects, including experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams. - Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration with EGBC is preferred. - Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and technical reviews. - Experience facilitating meetings and coordinating input from multiple stakeholders. - Understanding of wastewater treatment facility planning, design, and construction is considered a strong asset. - Familiarity with BIM processes and coordination of technical reviews across multiple disciplines is considered an asset. - Strong organizational, communication, technical writing, and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities while working in a collaborative team environment. - Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and project teams. Join us and redefine your personal best. **Pay Range:** • Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario-$96,500.00 - $139,900.00 Annually **Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
