Job Purpose:

The Manager, Employee Initiatives contributes to Tangerine's success by leading strategic employee experience, engagement, culture, and organizational effectiveness initiatives that strengthen employee performance, well-being, and connection to Tangerine's purpose and values. Reporting to Tangerine’s Chief People Officer, the incumbent is responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance the employee experience through data-driven insights, innovative programs, and enterprise-wide projects that support business strategy and organizational priorities. The role partners closely with leaders, Scotiabank’s HR teams, Tangerine’s Organizational Change Management team and cross-functional stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate initiatives that improve engagement, belonging, leadership effectiveness, and overall organizational health.The Manager, Employee Initiatives serves as a strategic advisor and project lead on key People & Culture priorities, driving meaningful employee outcomes while ensuring alignment with Tangerine's business objectives and culture aspirations.

Lead Strategic People Initiatives

  • Lead the planning, execution, and implementation of People & Culture initiatives and special projects, such as Tangerine’s onboarding and orientation
  • Develop project plans, stakeholder engagement strategies, governance structures, and success measures
  • Manage multiple strategic priorities simultaneously while ensuring delivery against objectives and timelines

 

Lead Employee Experience & Engagement Initiatives

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve employee experience and engagement programs that support Tangerine's culture and business strategy
  • Analyze employee feedback and workforce data to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities and develop targeted action plans
  • Partner with leaders and OCM to enhance team effectiveness, employee engagement, inclusion, belonging, and overall employee experience
  • Measure and report on the impact and effectiveness of employee experience initiatives

 

Provide Strategic Workforce Insights

  • Utilize employee engagement, talent, workforce, and organizational data to develop actionable recommendations
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and insights for senior leadership
  • Monitor key people metrics and recommend interventions to address risks and capitalize on opportunities
  • Leverage internal and external best practices to continuously evolve Tangerine's employee experience strategy

 

Contribute to the Broader People & Culture Strategy

  • Support the development and execution of Tangerine's People Strategy.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional working groups and enterprise projects.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement in employee experience practices.
  • Contribute to building a high-performing, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.
