Shape the Future of Energy Infrastructure: Project Development Manager Opportunity Supporting Major Growth Initiatives Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Project Development Manager in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, Alberta. Agilus is recruiting for a Project Development Manager in Calgary, Alberta. This is a unique opportunity to work at the front end of major energy infrastructure projects, helping evaluate, shape, and advance strategic growth opportunities across Western Canada. Working closely with business development, engineering, commercial, and operational stakeholders, you will lead feasibility studies, scoping activities, cost estimating, and project development initiatives that help transform concepts into executable projects. Total rewards: $100.00 - $115.00 hourly Earn a competitive contract rate of approximately $100-$115/hour, with flexibility for exceptional candidates Join a growing organisation investing in major energy infrastructure projects Gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of pipelines, gas plants, processing facilities, and export initiatives Work directly with senior leaders and business development teams Build broad commercial, technical, and strategic industry experience Contribute to projects that support long-term growth across Western Canada Enjoy a hybrid work arrangement with four days in office and one day remote Access potential long-term career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding organisation Responsibilities: Manage external engineering consultants and specialist service providers Collaborate with business development, commercial, regulatory, and operational teams Lead early-stage project development and opportunity evaluation activities Develop project scopes, concepts, and preliminary execution strategies Prepare capital cost estimates and project economics inputs Coordinate feasibility studies, technical assessments, and scoping exercises Evaluate infrastructure opportunities and identify strategic growth initiatives Support decision-making through clear recommendations and development planning Requirements: Hold a degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or a related Engineering discipline Possess 10+ years of project management experience within the energy industry Demonstrate experience supporting early-stage project development and planning activities Understand pipelines, gas plants, processing facilities, or export infrastructure projects Develop estimates, scopes of work, feasibility studies, and business case documentation Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Build strong working relationships across multidisciplinary teams Demonstrate strategic thinking and a broad understanding of Western Canadian energy markets This posting is for an active opening.
