Intermediate Accountant contract role open now in SE Calgary! Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an Intermediate Accountant in the engineering space in Calgary, Alberta. Our client is actively hiring an Intermediate Accountant to join their finance team asap. This is a 3-month contract with the chance to go permanent. Perfect person for this role has fluency with Oracle, is working towards their CPA, and has full cycle accounting experience. What's in it for you: $45.00 - $50.00 hourly 3-month contract with chance of extension and going permanent Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4 days in-office, 1-day WFH Location: SE Calgary Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, allocations, and other general ledger transactions while ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Perform account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities. Prepare financial reports, account analyses, and supporting schedules while assisting with financial statement and corporate reporting requirements. Collaborate with internal departments to research transactions, resolve accounting issues, and maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records. Support audits, monitor accounting controls, identify process improvements, and use Oracle and reporting tools to ensure accurate financial data and compliance. Requirements: 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience with exposure to journal entries, reconciliations, month-end, year-end, and financial reporting Working towards your CPA Post-secondary education in accounting or finance Fluency with Oracle ERP and MS Excel Any experience with internal and external audits will be an asset Any experience in the engineering or energy industries would be an asset This posting is for an active opening.
