Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a H&S Field Safety Advisor in the Oil and Gas Sector in Port Moody, British Columbia. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of highly dedicated and committed professionals in support of our operations, projects and maintenance organizations. You will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and sustainment of Health and Safety (H&S) and provide technical expertise and out-of-the-box solutions. Total rewards: $54.00 - $66.00 hourly One year contract with possible of extension. Pay rate on T4:54$/HR Pay rate on IC:66$/HR Max Hours: 40 hours per week, 7am-3:30 pm, no overtime. A typical day: Participate in Safety Meetings and Toolbox Talks: Attend safety meetings and contractor toolbox talks, Conduct Worksite Safety Assessments: Regularly conduct Critical Control Assessments and Enablon Inspection Checklists for compliance with critical safety controls and protocols. Provide feedback and coaching to address gaps. Complete / Support Work Execution Activities: Ensure that hazards are identified, and appropriate controls are in place during work activities, Assess Contractor Worker Qualifications: Evaluate contractor workers' qualifications for safety training and competencies to ensure they meet necessary standards. Conduct Field Assessments on High-Risk Standards Implementation: Assess the implementation of high-risk safety standards in the field, such as confined space entry, working at heights, etc, Provide Just-in-Time Coaching: Offer immediate coaching to field personnel when unsafe practices are observed. Report to leadership to address systemic issues or ongoing trends. Identify and Communicate Safety Hazards: Promptly identify and communicate safety hazards to ensure they are addressed. In cases of high-risk gaps or persistent trends, report them to your leader, Support Incident Investigations: Assist in investigating safety incidents, when requested by the incident owner. Support Contractor Management: Ensure contractors follow contractor management documents. Support Hazard Identification for Scopes of Work: Assist in identifying potential hazards associated with planned work activities, Support Contractors in Meeting Safety Regulations: Provide guidance to support contractor compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards. Support Development of Contractor EH&S Plan: Assist in developing comprehensive health and safety plans for contractors, Participate / Coach in Development of Contractor Health and Safety Plans: Collaborate in the creation of detailed health and safety plans, including exposure control, ventilation, etc. Participate in Meetings: Attend work related meetings to provide safety related support. Successful candidates will have: 10 Years of proven safety experience in high-risk work settings, preferably within the oil and gas industry. Possession of a recognized safety certification (e.g., CRSP, CRST, CSO), diploma or degree in OHS, or demonstrated EH&S competency supported by relevant experience. Possess strong understanding of safety regulatory requirements, specifically related to British Columbia Work safe requirements. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. An effective listener who will seek to understand the safety support needs of our Production Unit, as well as effectively communicate standards and regulatory requirements. Experience promoting a culture that encourages reporting, learning, and continuous improvement. Strong written and oral communication skills, Can effectively interact with all levels of leadership.
